Auxiliary drive belt

1. Check the condition of the accessory drive belt.

2. Remove all traces of dirt from the drive belt and pulleys.

3. Make sure the belt is not delaminating or showing signs of wear.

CAUTION: For vehicles operated under severe conditions, the following maintenance operations should be performed every 5 years or 120,000 km.

4. Every 7 years or 108,000 miles (168,000 km) - 4.0L engines: Replace the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (303-05 Accessory Drive - 4.0L).

5. Every 10 years or 240,000 km - 4.4L engines: Replace the accessory drive belt. For more information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt (303-05 Accessory Drive - 4.4L).
