Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
WARNING: Fuel vapors are highly flammable and in a closed space they are also toxic and explosive. A fire extinguisher (foam, carbon dioxide - CO₂, gas or powder) must be available in the room where fuel is removed from the fuel tank.
2. Raise the car on a lift.

3. Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the fuel pump assembly with the filter to the body.

4. Lower the fuel pump assembly with the filter down.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the heater pump.
6. Place a container under the fuel lines to collect any leaking fuel.
7. Disconnect the fuel lines from the heater pump.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing system components, make sure that the adjacent surfaces of the joints are free of dirt. Install plugs in the openings of the fittings and pipes to prevent dirt from entering the system.
8. Release the fastener and remove the heater pump from the fuel pump assembly with the filter.
Installation
1. Wipe the fuel line connections.
2. Install the heater pump onto the fuel pump assembly with the filter and secure it.
3. Connect the fuel lines to the heater pump.
4. Remove the fuel collection container from under the fuel lines.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the heater pump.
6. Install the fuel pump assembly with the filter on the body, tighten the mounting bolts and tighten them to a torque of 10 Nm.
7. Lower the car on the lift.
8. Connect the negative battery terminal.
