Headlight assembly — models from 04MY (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the front bumper.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Front Bumper Assembly - for vehicles of model year 2004 and later.

2. Unscrew the 2 headlight bracket mounting bolts and remove the bracket.

3. Unscrew the 2 bolts and nut securing the headlight and release the headlight.



4. Disconnect the connector block from the headlight.

5. Release the retaining clip of the electrical harness to the headlight and remove the headlight.

Installation

1. Install the headlight, connect the connector to the headlight and install the headlight wiring harness retainer.

2. Install the headlight and tighten the nut and 2 bolts to a tightening torque of 3 Nm.



3. Install the mounting bracket and tighten the bolts to a torque of 3 Nm.

4. Reinstall the front bumper.

5. Check the headlight adjustment and adjust the headlights if necessary.
