Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the starter.
ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Starter - Td4 engine.
3. Disconnect the connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
4. Loosen the Allen screw and remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
5. Remove and discard the gasket.
Installation
1. Wipe the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and mating surfaces.
2. Install a new seal onto the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
3. Install the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor and tighten the mounting screw to 8 Nm.
4. Connect the connector to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
5. Reinstall the starter.
