Removal
All cars
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.
Left-hand drive vehicles
2. Remove the battery. Refer to the procedure: Battery (414-01 Battery, Battery Fastener and Cables, Removal and Installation).
Right hand drive vehicles
3. Remove the collection chamber panel. Refer to procedure: Mixing Chamber (412-01 Climate Control, Removal and Installation).
All cars
4. Tightening torque: 6 Nm
CAUTION: Be prepared to collect spilled liquid.

Cars with manual transmission

Prepare to collect spilled liquid. Plug all openings.

All cars

CAUTION: Plug all openings.

Installation
All cars
1. When installing, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Bleed the brake system. Refer to procedure: Bleeding the Brake System (206-00 Brake System - General Information, General Procedures).
Cars with manual transmission
3. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Refer to procedure: Bleeding the Clutch System (308-00 Manual/Transaxle Transaxle and Clutch - General Information, General Procedures).
