Wheel balancing (Discovery 1)

Static imbalance results in longitudinal wheel oscillations and spotty wear of the tire tread. Dynamic imbalance leads to wheel shimmy (lateral vibrations of the wheel) and impaired vehicle control.

1. Before balancing, wash the wheels and remove stones from the tread grooves.

2. Check the condition of the tires and tire pressure.
