Removal


1. Place the car on the overpass.

2. Disconnect both cables from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification.

3. Remove the rear bumper cover.

4. Remove the spare tire.

5. Remove the rear bumper fasteners.

6. Remove the rear shock absorbers. For more information, refer to Rear Air Shock Absorber (64.30.02.45)

7. Remove the body support mounting bolts.
  • Remove 8 bolts.
Remove 8 bolts.

CAUTION: Raise the body sufficiently to provide access to the welds at the top of the crossmember.


Raise the body.

9.
Remove 8 bolts.

Installation
