Front mudguard — removal and installation (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Raise the front of the vehicle.

CAUTION: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.

2. Remove the front wheel.

3. Remove the front mudguard.

4. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the mudguard to the wing and bumper.

5. Unscrew the 8 screws securing the mudguard liner to the wheel arch.

6. Loosen and remove the fender liner.

Installation

1. Install the fender liner.

2. Tighten the 8 screws securing the mudguard liner to the wheel arch.

3. Screw in and tighten the screws securing the mudguard to the wing and bumper.

4. Install the front mudguard.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Front mudguard.

5. Replace the wheel(s) and tighten the nuts to 115 Nm.

6. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
