Side rail for roof rack of 5-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the side rail support pads.

2. Remove the 4 Torx screws securing the side rail to the roof.

3. Remove the side rail and 2 gaskets.

NOTE: If disassembly was performed only to provide access to other system components, no further disassembly operations should be performed.

4. Remove the seal from each bolt.

5. Remove the Torx bolts from the side rail.

Installation

1. Install the Torx bolts and seals onto the side rail to be installed.

2. Install the spacers on the side rail.

3. Install the side rail and tighten the Torx bolts to 22 Nm.

4. Install the pads on the side rail supports.
