Dismantling


1. Remove the side decorative trims from the tailgate glass.

2. Remove the decorative caps or side rail of the roof rack.

EXTERIOR PARTS, REPAIR WORK, Side railing of the upper trunk of a 5-door car.


3. Using a suitable tool, insert into the front hole in the molding under the front support and slide the 2 front clips back out of the roof gutter.

4. Slide the retainer in the rear support hole forward from the roof gutter.

5. Slide the 7 remaining fasteners off the roof gutter.

6. Loosen the nut securing the rear end of the molding to the roof and remove the molding.

7. Remove the retainers from the roof molding.

Installation


Installation


1. Install the retainers onto the roof molding.



2. Install the molding into the roof gutter and secure the 2 front clips.

3. Slide the molding to align it with the glass. Slide the front retainer under the windshield seal.

4. Install the remaining fasteners into the roof gutter.

5. Tighten the nut and secure the rear end of the molding.

6. Make sure the molding is properly positioned in the roof gutter.

7. Install decorative caps or side railing of the roof rack.

8. Install the side decorative trims on the tailgate glass.
