Rear small glass assembly — 3-door car (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Remove the 2 Torx screws securing the rear small window hinge caps.

2. Remove the caps from the hinges.

3. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the hinges to the rear small glass.

4. Remove the hinges from the small rear window.

5. Remove the nuts from the rear small glass and discard the sealing washers.

6. With the help of a partner, unscrew the screw that secures the rear small window latch to the body.

7. Remove the rear small glass.



8. Loosen the screw securing the latch to the rear small glass.

9. Remove the latch from the small rear window.

10. Remove the nut from the rear small glass and discard the sealing washers.

Installation

1. Install the nut and new sealing washers onto the small rear window.



2. Install the latch and tighten the screw that secures it.

3. With the help of a partner, install the small rear window and tighten the latch mounting screw.

4. Using new sealing washers, install the nuts and hinges on the rear small glass. Screw in and tighten the nuts securing the hinges to the rear small glass.

5. Place the caps on the hinges and tighten the Torx screws.
