Dismantling


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Drain the air conditioning system and collect the refrigerant.

3. Models with Td4 or KV6 engine: Remove the lower engine protection shield.

4. Disconnect the connector block from the refrigerant pressure sensor.

CAUTION: Do not disconnect the air conditioner hoses until the system has been completely drained.


5. Remove the refrigerant pressure sensor from the air conditioner pipe. To avoid putting stress on the air conditioner pipe, use two wrenches to remove the sensor.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing system components, make sure that the adjacent surfaces of the joints are free of dirt. Install plugs in the openings of the fittings and pipes to prevent dirt from entering the system.


6. Remove and discard the sealing ring.

Installation


1. Clean the refrigerant pressure sensor and the surrounding surfaces.



2. Install a new sealing ring on the sensor and tighten it to 10 Nm.

3. Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.

4. Models with Td4 or KV6 engine: Reinstall the lower engine protection shield.

5. Fill the air conditioning system.

6. Connect the negative battery terminal.
