Dismantling
1. Disconnect "negative" battery terminal.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle.
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle that is supported only by a jack. Always install safety props.
3. Remove the bottom motor shield.

4. Remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.
5. Remove the generator.
ENGINE START AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Generator - K1.8.
6. Disconnect the connector block from the compressor.
7. Turn away 2 bolts of fastening of pipelines of the conditioner to the compressor. Disconnect the A/C lines from the compressor.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing system components, make sure that the surfaces adjacent to the connection points are free of dirt. Install plugs in fittings and piping to keep dirt out of the system.
8. Remove and discard o-rings from A/C lines.
9. Turn away 3 bolts of fastening of the compressor to a basic arm.
10. Release the compressor from fastening to a basic arm and remove it, operating from below the car.
11. Drain the compressor refrigerant and record the amount of refrigerant drained.
Installation
1. If a new compressor is installed, the specified amount of refrigerant must be drained from it.
GENERAL INFORMATION, Air conditioning compressor replacement.
2. The new compressor is hermetically sealed.
It contains nitrogen under pressure. Remove the cover slowly. As soon as the tightness is broken, you will hear the characteristic noise of gas escaping under pressure.
3. Make sure the mating surfaces of the A/C piping and the compressor flange are clean.
4. Lubricate the new O-rings on the A/C lines with clean refrigerant.
TECHNICAL DATA, Air conditioning.
5. Install the O-rings on the air conditioning pipes.
6. Install the A/C compressor on the support bracket. Tighten its fastening bolts with a torque of 25 Nm.
7. Install compressor support bracket. Screw in the bolts and tighten them with a torque of 25 Nm.
8. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C compressor.
9. Install the generator.

10. Replace the receiver water separator.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, A/C compressor drive belt - for models with Td4 engine, Receiver water separator.
11. Fill the A/C system.

12. Remove props and lower the car.
13. Attach "negative" battery terminal.
14. Replace the lower engine shield.
