Dismantling
1. Remove the refrigerant from the air conditioning system.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER DRAINAGE, REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND CHARGING, Air Conditioner Emptying - Refrigerant Recovery and Charging.
2. Remove the bolt securing the pipes to the expansion valve (TXV).
3. Disconnect both pipes from the expansion valve.
4. Remove the 2 o-rings from the pipes and discard them.
WARNING: Cap all openings immediately to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the system.
5. Remove the control panel cover.
INTERIOR TRIM PARTS, REPAIRS, Control panel - for cars up to 2004 model year.
6. Turn away a bolt of fastening of an air duct of a deflector of the control panel and remove an air duct.
7. Disconnect 3 electric sockets from the panel of management of a heater and the conditioner.
8. Turn away 2 nuts of fastening of the evaporator to a body.
9. Release the evaporator from the drain hose and air intake and remove the evaporator.
10. Release the electrical wiring from the clamps located on the evaporator.
11. Turn out from a casing of the evaporator 7 screws and remove the top part of a casing.
12. Remove the evaporator from the casing.
13. Turn away 2 bolts of type "Allen" expansion valve, remove the valve and discard the 2 o-rings.
Installation
1. Lubricate new O-rings with clean special oil and install them on the evaporator lines.
2. Connect the evaporator piping to the expansion valve and install the bracket. Screw in and tighten the bolt to 10 Nm.
3. Carefully place the evaporator into the casing.
4. Install the top of the evaporator casing.
5. Install the 7 screws securing the top of the casing.
6. Secure the electrical wiring in the clamps.
7. Connect the evaporator assembly to the drain hose and air intake and install the evaporator to the body.
8. Wrap and tighten nuts of fastening of the evaporator to a body.
9. Connect electric sockets to the panel of management of a heater and the conditioner.
10. Establish an air duct of a deflector of the control panel, wrap and tighten a bolt of its fastening.
11. Replace the control panel.

12. Wipe down the evaporator lines.
13. Lubricate new O-rings with clean coolant.
14. Install the o-rings on the evaporator lines.
15. Wipe down the evaporator lines.
16. Connect piping to expansion valve and install bracket. Tighten the bolt with a torque of 10 Nm.
17. Fill the air conditioning system.
