Examination
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the lower engine protection shield.

3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right.
4. Unscrew 3 bolts and remove the right protective screen.
5. Check the condition of the drive belt. If signs of wear or delamination are found, replace the drive belt with a new one.
Adjustment
1. Loosen the clamp bolt and pivot bolt of the compressor drive belt tensioner.
2. Apply a counterclockwise torque to the tensioner hexagon. For a used belt, the torque should be 36 Nm, and for a new belt, 47 Nm.
3. Tighten the clamp bolt to 24 Nm.
4. Tighten the pivot bolt to 24 Nm.
5. Install the protective screen and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.
6. Reinstall the lower engine protection shield.

7. Connect the negative battery terminal.
Dismantling
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Attachment drive belt - Td4 engine.
3. Loosen the clamp bolt and pivot bolt of the compressor drive belt tensioner.
4. Remove the compressor drive belt.
Installation
1. Make sure that the drive belt, compressor and crankshaft pulleys, and tensioner roller are clean.
2. Install the compressor drive belt.
3. Adjust the tension of the compressor drive belt.
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, Air conditioning compressor drive belt - for models with Td4 engine, Air conditioning compressor drive belt - for models with Td4 engine.
4. Install the accessory drive belt.
ENGINE STARTING AND BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM, REPAIR WORK, Attachment drive belt - Td4 engine.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
