Immobilizer — electronic control unit (ECU) (Freelander 1)

Dismantling

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the instrument panel.

3. Unscrew the 2 plastic nuts securing the immobilizer ECU and disconnect the connector. Remove the immobilizer ECU.

Installation

1. Connect the wiring harness to the immobilizer ECU.

2. Position the ECU in place, install and screw on 2 plastic nuts.

3. Replace the instrument panel.

4. Connect the negative battery terminal.

5. Initialize the system using the TestBook/T4 diagnostic tool.
