The single-speed rear wiper motor is mounted to the inside surface of the liftgate and secured with 3 bolts. Bushings isolate the motor assembly from the body, which helps reduce the transmission of motor noise to the liftgate.

The output shaft of the electric motor is connected to a worm gear, which transfers the rotational motion of the output shaft into movement along the arc of the rear wiper arm.

A 3-pin electrical connector is used to connect the rear wiper motor to the vehicle's electrical system. The electrical connector provides power to the motor from the AJB, a wiper park position contact from the CJB, and a ground connection.

The AJB includes a rear wiper relay. The relay is controlled by the CJB, which connects power and ground according to its software logic.
