Fuel heater coolant pump (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

2. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

3. Remove the secondary bulkhead center panel. Refer to procedure: Secondary Bulkhead Center Panel - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-02 Front Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

4. To minimize coolant loss, pinch the hoses.

5. Disconnect the coolant hoses from the fuel-fired auxiliary heater coolant pump.

CAUTION: Be prepared to collect any leaking coolant.

6. Remove the fuel-fired auxiliary heater cooling system pump.

Installation

1. Install the fuel-fired auxiliary heater cooling system pump.



2. Connect the coolant hoses to the fuel-fired auxiliary heater coolant pump.

3. Install the secondary bulkhead center panel. Refer to procedure: Secondary Bulkhead Center Panel - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4 (501-02 Front Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

4. Connect the ground cable to the battery. Refer to Procedure: Specifications (414-00 Charging System - General Information, Specifications).

5. Check the coolant level and top up if necessary.
