11-Fuel fired auxiliary heater (FFBH) (for cold climate markets)

The main requirement for the cooling system of the TD4 diesel engine is to regulate the engine operating temperature, maintaining it in the optimum range under any climatic and operating conditions. Additional functions of the cooling system are to provide cooling of the EGR system, engine lubrication system and gearbox lubrication system (only variants with automatic transmission).

The cooling system pipes and hoses have quick-release couplings that provide easy access for servicing the system.

On vehicles intended for cold climate markets, the cooling system is modified to include a fuel-fired booster heater (FFBH) and an additional coolant pump. The FFBH provides additional heating to the vehicle's interior.

For more information, refer to the chapter: Auxiliary fuel heater (412-02 Auxiliary climate control, Description and operating principle).
