Exhaust gas temperature sensor (Freelander 2)

WARNING: Use caution when working near hot exhaust system components.

NOTE: The removal procedure description may contain installation steps.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work near or under a vehicle that is raised only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with special stands.

2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to procedure: Engine Cover - 2.2L Diesel (501-05, Removal and Installation).



4. Tightening torque: 35 Nm

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, clean the areas around hinges and connections. To prevent contamination of the system, plug all open connections.

Installation

1. Apply grease to the sensor threads. Refer to procedure: Specifications (303-08).

2. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
