Hatch drive (Discovery 1)

Front

1. Close the hatch.

2. Loosen the drive handle mounting screw and remove the handle.

3. Remove the switch panel from the interior light panel.

4. Remove the interior light bulb.

5. Remove the ultrasonic unit of the anti-theft system.

6. Remove the 10 screws securing the interior light panel to the ceiling panel.

7. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the drive to the lower frame of the hatch and remove the drive.

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Caution: Do not rotate the drive shaft - this may cause the drive to malfunction.

Rear

1. Close the hatch.

2. Loosen the drive handle mounting screw and remove the handle.

3. Remove the ceiling panel.

4. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the drive to the lower frame of the hatch and remove the drive.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
