Front seat safety belts (Discovery 1)

Removal and installation

1. Move the seat forward (5-door models) or fold the seat (3-door models).

2. Remove the decorative cap of the upper belt support mounting bolt.

3. Unscrew the upper belt support mounting bolt, remove the support and spacer.

4. Remove the decorative cap of the lower support mounting bolt and unscrew the bolt.

5. Disconnect the door seal on the B-pillar to facilitate removal of the lower B-pillar panel.

6. Disconnect the belt from the top of the trim panel and remove the panel.

7. Unscrew the bolt securing the belt inertia mechanism and remove the mechanism from the B-pillar.

8. Loosen the belt latch mounting bolt and remove the latch.



9. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tightening torque of mounting bolts: 32 Nm.
