Rear window lift motor (Discovery 1)

1. Close the window glass and secure it to the frame with adhesive tape.

2. Disconnect the battery.

3. Remove the door handle, trim panel and plastic insulation from the inner door panel.

4. Disconnect the electric motor wiring connector.

5. Unscrew the three screws securing the electric motor.

6. Remove the electric motor through the lower panel cutout.

6. Remove the electric motor through the lower panel cutout.


7. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Before installing the motor mounting screws, check that the motor gears and the window lift mechanism are correctly engaged.
