Control cables (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Release the air distribution trims in the front panel from their clips to gain access to the rear of the panel, see "Body".

2. Open the glove compartment and remove the compartment door.

Air flow direction cable

3. Turn the control knob clockwise until it stops.

4. Release the two cable braid clips.

5. Disconnect the cable from the choke lever stud.

6. Remove the cable from the lever.

Temperature control cable

7. Turn the right control panel knob clockwise and the left knob counterclockwise.

8. Release the two cable braid clips.

9. Disconnect the cable from the choke lever stud.

10. Remove the cable from the lever.

Installation

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Check that the control cables are adjusted correctly.
