Self-diagnosis — general information (Discovery 1)

The electronic control unit has a built-in self-diagnostic unit.

If a fault is detected, the fault indicator light will light.

In the event of sensor failure, the electronic unit operates in emergency mode, sufficient to transport the vehicle to a repair shop. Fault codes can be read using appropriate reading equipment. Please refer to the section "Self-diagnosis No. 12".
