Removing
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle standing on only one jack. Always support the vehicle with jack stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery. For more information, refer to Specification
3. Remove the lower cooling fan shroud. For more information refer to Cooling Fan Shroud (26.25.11)
4. Remove the grille. For more information refer to Radiator Grille (76.55.03)
5. Remove the radiator mounting pins.
6. Remove the upper radiator deflector. Release 2 clips.
7. Remove the expansion tank of the cooling system. Turn out two bolts.
8. Move the engine air intake towards the engine and tie it down.
9. Tie the coolant pipes of the fuel-fired heater to the engine side.

NOTE: Note the position of the differential breather hose.
Disconnect the power steering heat exchanger mounting. Release from the three clamps.
11. Disconnect the power steering reservoir mount.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or dismantling parts, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. Plug all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.
NOTE: Some fluid will inevitably spill during this operation.
Disconnect the power steering heat exchanger hose from the coolant expansion tank.
- Release the clamp.
- Wait for the liquid to drain into the container.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or dismantling parts, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. Plug all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.
NOTE: Some fluid will inevitably spill during this operation.
Remove the power steering heat exchanger. Release the clamp using the special tool.
Installation
1. Install the power steering cooler.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Lock the clamp.
2. Connect the power steering heat exchanger tube to the reservoir.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Fasten with a clip.
3. Install the power steering reservoir.
4. Install the front differential breather hose.
5. Install the power steering heat exchanger tube. Secure with three clips.
6. Attach the coolant expansion tank. Tighten 2 bolts (tightening torque 10 Nm).
7. Install the upper radiator deflector.
8. Install the radiator mounting pins.
9. Disconnect the A/C condenser refrigerant pipes.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Install new o-rings.
- Tighten the bolts (tightening torque 25 Nm).
10. Install the grille. For more information refer to Radiator Grille (76.55.03)
11. Install the lower radiator deflector. For more information refer to Cooling Fan Shroud (26.25.11)
12. Connect wire "masses" to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
13. Fill the power steering system with fluid and bleed air from the system. For more information, refer to Filling and Bleeding the Power Steering System.
