Removing
1.
WARNING: It is forbidden to carry out work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Be sure to place secure supports under the vehicle.
Raise and support the vehicle.

NOTE: Set steering to straight ahead.
Disconnect the cardan joint from the steering mechanism. Loosen the bolt and discard it.
3. Remove the left and right front mudguards. Remove 8 clips.

NOTE: Left side shown, right side similar.
Release the ball joints on both tie rod ends.
- Loosen the locknut.
- Disconnect both tie rods from the tips, note the number of turns for installation.
5. Remove the radiator access panel. Turn out four bolts.
6. Release the power steering line support bracket. Turn out a bolt.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, clean the area around the contact surfaces and connections. Plug open connections to prevent contamination.
NOTE: During this operation, some liquid will inevitably spill out.
Disconnect power steering lines.
- Substitute a container to collect the escaping liquid.
- Remove clamp.
- Loosen the bolt and discard it.
- Discard the O-rings.
8. Remove the steering gear. Loosen the two bolts and discard the nuts.
Installation
1. Install the steering gear.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the elements.
- Use new nuts and tighten nuts and bolts to 175 Nm.
2. Install power steering lines.
- Clean the mating surfaces of the elements.
- Install new o-rings.
- Install clamp.
- Tighten the new bolt to 25 Nm.
3. Install the power steering line support bracket. Screw in the bolt.
4. Attach the universal joint to the steering gear. Screw in a new self-locking bolt and tighten to 25 Nm.
5. Install the radiator access panel. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
6. Install splash guards. Install clamps.
7. Connect the ball joints of the tie rod ends.
- Connect both tie rods as previously noted.
- Tighten the locknut on the tie rod.
8. Add power steering fluid to the power steering system and bleed air from the system. For more information, refer to Filling and Bleeding the Power Steering System.
9. Adjust the angles of the front wheels.
