General information
The steering system includes a TRW rack and pinion steering gear, a power steering pump, a reservoir, a cooler for the working fluid and hoses for supplying the fluid. The steering gear is a rack and pinion transmission with a conventional end mount for the rods and a gear amplifier.
The steering rack has a stroke of 166 mm. The movement between the extreme positions requires 3.32 turns of the steering wheel. One turn of the steering wheel corresponds to a stroke of 50 mm.
