Power steering fluid cooler (Freelander 2)

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Be sure to support the vehicle securely.

2. Remove the front wheels and tires. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

3. Remove the front bumper. Refer to procedure: Front Bumper (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

4. Remove the right headlamp assembly. Refer to the procedure: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).



5. Empty the power steering fluid reservoir.



6. Disconnect the quick-release coupling.

7. Tightening torque: 10 Nm

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.

2. Check the power steering fluid level and top up if necessary. Refer to the procedure: Bleeding Air from the Power Steering System (211-00 Steering System - General Information, General Procedures).
