Removal
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: Never work on a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.
2. Remove the front wheel. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
3. Loosen the tie rod end lock nut.
4. Disconnect the tie rod end ball joint from the wheel knuckle. Special tool: 205-754
CAUTION: Make sure the ball joint does not rotate.

5. Remove the tie rod end.
CAUTION: To facilitate installation, mark the number of turns when removing the tie rod end.

Installation
1. Install the tie rod end.
CAUTION: When installing the tie rod end, the number of turns must be the same as when removing it.
2. Attach the tie rod end ball joint. Tightening torque: 70 Nm
CAUTION: Use a new tie rod end nut.
Clean the mating surfaces from foreign material. Make sure that the ball joint element does not rotate.
3. Tighten the tie rod end lock nut. Tightening torque: 55 Nm
CAUTION: Clean mating surfaces of any foreign material.
4. Install the front wheel. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
5. Check and adjust wheel alignment using only Land Rover recommended four-wheel alignment equipment.
