Removing
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt. For more information refer to Drive Belt Accessories (86.10.03)

ATTENTION: Before disconnecting or removing any components and parts, make sure that the area around the contact surfaces and connections is clean. Close all open connections to avoid contamination of the system.
NOTE: Some oil will inevitably spill during this operation.
To minimize fluid loss, pinch the power steering pump supply hose.
4. Disconnect the high pressure line from the steering pump fitting. Lay down an absorbent cloth to soak up spilled liquid.
5. Disconnect the power steering pump feed hose. Release the clamp.
6. Remove the power steering pump. Turn out 3 bolts.
Installation
1. Install the power steering pump.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Screw in the bolts and tighten them with a torque of 25 Nm.
2. Connect the power steering supply hose to the power steering pump.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Lock the clamp.
3. Connect the high pressure line to the steering pump.
- Clean the contact surfaces of the parts.
- Install new seals.
- Tighten the fitting with a torque of 25 Nm.
4. Install the accessory drive belt. For more information refer to Drive Belt Accessories (86.10.03)
5. Connect the ground wire to the battery. For more information refer to Specification.
6. Refill power steering fluid and bleed air from system. For more information, refer to Filling and Bleeding the Power Steering System
