Dismantling
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle.
CAUTION: Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Clamp the brake hose to prevent brake fluid leakage.
4. Place an absorbent cloth to prevent splashing of the working fluid.
5. Loosen the tightening of the coupling securing the brake pipe to the brake hose and remove the coupling.
CAUTION: Always plug the fittings and holes to protect the system from dirt.
6. Remove the retaining ring securing the brake hose to the shock absorber bracket. Remove the brake hose from the bracket.
7. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring and the brake hose from the shock absorber.
8. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor wiring from the hub.
9. Unscrew the two nuts and remove the two bolts securing the hub to the shock absorber strut.
10. Disconnect the shock absorber strut from the hub.
11. Remove the lower decorative trim from the rear of the side panel.

12. Unscrew the 3 nuts securing the upper shock absorber support and remove the spring and shock absorber assembly.
13. Remove the rubber sealing ring from the upper support.
14. Clamp a suitable spring compressor in a vice.
CAUTION: Pay attention to the relative position of the upper support, spring and protective cover of the shock absorber.

15. Install the spring and shock absorber assembly into the fixture. Compress the spring.
16. Mark the top support and spring.
17. Remove the cap from the upper support.
18. Compress the spring 2-3 cm to release the upper support. Holding the shock absorber rod with an Allen key, unscrew and discard the upper support mounting nut.
19. Remove the washer and upper support.
20. Remove the spring support cup.
21. Remove the support plate and compression stroke limiter.
22. Remove the spring support cup, protective boot and compression stroke limiter support.
23. Remove the shock absorber from the spring.
24. Release the spring and remove it from the device.
Installation
1. Inspect the shock absorber, spring cup rubber pads and upper support bearing for wear and damage.
2. Clean the mating surfaces of the spring and its support cups.
3. Clean the shock absorber rod and the compression stop support.
4. Install the spring and shock absorber assembly into the fixture. Compress the spring.
5. Assemble the shock absorber and spring. Make sure the spring is located in the recess of the lower spring support cup.
6. Install the compression stop support and the shock absorber protective cover onto the shock absorber.
7. Install the compression stroke limiter and support plate.
8. Install the upper spring support cup and washer.
9. While holding the shock absorber piston rod with an Allen key, install the new nut and tighten it to 57 Nm.
CAUTION: Pay attention to the relative position of the upper support, spring and protective cover of the shock absorber.
10. Install the upper support cap.
11. Release the spring and remove it from the device.
12. Clean the seating surface of the upper support.
13. Install the rubber sealing ring onto the upper support.
14. Install the shock absorber strut and align the upper support with the body. Install the nuts and tighten them to a torque of 45 Nm.
15. Install the lower decorative trim on the rear part of the side panel.

16. Connect the hub to the shock absorber strut and tighten the bolts to 205 Nm.
17. Clean the surface of the wheel speed sensor, apply lubricant to prevent the sensor from seizing, and install it on the hub.
CAUTION: Make sure the wheel speed sensor is fully inserted into the hub, i.e. touching the ring gear.
18. Secure the brake hose and wheel speed sensor wiring to the shock absorber.
19. Secure the brake hose with a C-clamp.
20. Remove the plugs and clean the end of the brake pipe.
21. Connect the brake hose to the pipeline and tighten the coupling to a torque of 14 Nm.
22. Remove the clamp from the brake hose.
23. Bleed the brake system.
BRAKE SYSTEM, ADJUSTMENTS, Bleeding the brake system.
24. Reinstall the wheel(s) and tighten the nuts to 115 Nm.
25. Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
