Replacement
1. Insert the blade of a thin flat-bladed screwdriver into the key-side slot of the remote control housing and carefully separate the housing into two halves.
2. Slide the battery out from under the clamp, while not touching the printed circuit board of the device and the contacts of the battery.
3. Press and hold each button for at least 5 seconds to remove residual voltage from the remote control assembly.
4. Install a new battery (Land Rover STC4080 or Panasonic CR2032), after making sure that the polarity is correct: (+) the battery should be oriented upwards. Do not touch the flat surfaces of the battery with bare hands.
5. Align and squeeze the two halves of the remote control housing until you hear a click, indicating that the housing is properly assembled.
6. Check the operation of the remote control.
