Replacement

1. Insert the blade of a thin flat-head screwdriver into the slot on the key side of the remote control housing and carefully separate the housing into two halves.
2. Slide the battery out from under the clamp, being careful not to touch the printed circuit board of the device or the battery contacts.
3. Press and hold each button for at least 5 seconds to remove residual voltage from the remote control components.
4. Install a new battery (Land Rover STC4080 or Panasonic CR2032), making sure that the polarity is correct: (+) of the battery should be facing up. Do not touch the flat surfaces of the battery with bare hands.

5. Align and press the two halves of the remote control housing together until you hear a click, indicating that the housing is assembled correctly.
6. Check the operation of the remote control.
