Removing
1. Remove a rear-view mirror of salon. Refer to Procedure: Interior Rear View Mirror (501-09 Rear-view mirrors, Removal and installation).
2. Remove pillar trim panels "A". Refer to Procedure: Rack Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).
3. Remove the mixing chamber panel. Refer to Procedure: Mixing Chamber (412-01 Climate control, Removal and installation).
4. Disconnect the heated windshield electrical connectors (in the presence of).

- Pass the glazing wire through the windshield under the seal.
- Pull the glazing wire through the windshield sealant and into the vehicle.
6. Working from inside the vehicle, cut the windshield sealant with glazing wire.
WARNING: Use protective gloves and goggles.
CAUTION: Protect surrounding paintwork to avoid damage.
Installation
1. Apply pickling primer to all exposed metal.
2. Apply primer to pickling primer.
3. Apply glass primer to the surface of the windshield sealant and allow it to cure.
4. Apply an activating compound to the old windshield sealant and allow it to cure.
5. Place the prepared cut tip on the caulk cartridge, remove the cap, shake out the solids and install the cartridge on the caulk gun.
6. Adjust the nozzle in such a way that a bead of sealant is obtained with a regular triangle in cross section, having a base of 8 mm and a height of 12 mm.
7. Apply a continuous bead of sealant to the windshield.
8. Install glass with assistance.
CAUTION: Ensure that the electrical connectors of the heated windshield foil are tucked under the body storage chamber panel. This avoids contact with the wiper linkage.
9. Apply light pressure to the window glass to press it against the sealant.
10. Secure windshield in place with adhesive tape.
11. Connect the heated windshield electrical connectors (in the presence of).
12. Check the tightness of the connection, apply additional sealant if necessary. If water is used for testing, do not test until the sealant has dried. Point the water jet at the glass and check for leaks. Mark the location of the leaks. Dry the glass and sealant, then apply additional sealant.
13. Install the collection chamber panel. Refer to Procedure: Mixing Chamber (412-01 Climate control, Removal and installation).
14. Install pillar trim panels "A". Refer to Procedure: Rack Trim Panel (501-05 Interior trim, Removal and installation).
15. Establish a rear-view mirror of salon. Refer to Procedure: Interior Rear View Mirror (501-09 Rear-view mirrors, Removal and installation).
