The laminated windshield is glued and sealed to the body opening with polyurethane (PU) glue. On the inner surface of the windshield, a mounting protrusion for the interior rear-view mirror is fixed. Depending on the specification of the car, 2 heating elements can be provided on the windshield.
The tempered rear window is also glued and sealed to the body opening with polyurethane (PU) glue. One heating element is applied to the inner surface of the rear window.
The operation of the power window system is controlled by the CJB in conjunction with the driver's door module and front passenger's front passenger door module. The door modules are mounted on the controls of the respective front windows. The door modules are also mounted on both rear window controls and communicate with the front door modules via the LAN interconnect bus (LIN).
The power window system has a one-touch up/down function and an anti-pinch function for all windows.
If the battery has been disconnected, the power window system will need to be recalibrated after the battery is connected. To calibrate the system, the following sequence of operations is required.
With the ignition on:
- Close the window completely and release the switch.
- Press the close switch again and hold it for about 2 seconds.
- Open the window fully and release the switch.
- Press the opening switch again and hold it for about 2 seconds.
- Do the same for the rest of the windows.
