The active anti-theft system monitors all hinged body panels for unauthorized opening. In some markets, the anti-theft system also includes interior monitoring and body tilt monitoring.
The active anti-theft alarm system is controlled by the following body control modules:
- CJB
- Left and right front and rear door modules
- Instrument panel
The CJB is the main controller of the system. The CJB, among other functions, controls the following security functions:
- Locking, double locking and unlocking.
- Monitoring of microswitches of hanging panels and the state of incomplete closing of panels.
- Intrusion detection module.
- Self-powered siren or car horn.
- Passive activation and deactivation of the system.
- Attack alarm function.
- Reading signals from the remote control transceiver.
- Interior lighting.
There are two levels of vehicle anti-theft alarm: perimeter security mode (perimeter mode) monitors all openings, internal volume control mode (volume mode) (if available) monitors vehicle interior penetration, and some markets also provide a tilt sensor to control vehicle movement.
NOTE: Surround mode and tilt sensor are not available in all markets.
NOTE: The surround mode is cancelled if one of the windows or the sunroof of the locked vehicle remains open to prevent the possibility of accidental alarm activation.
The remote control has the following functions:
- Unlocking (centralized or unlocking the driver's door only).
- Locking and double locking.
- Opening the trunk door.
- Lighting when approaching. Alarm when intruding.
The unlock and lock buttons also control the general closing and opening, where the windows are automatically closed or opened by pressing and holding the corresponding button. This function is available in certain markets and is controlled in conjunction with the door modules.
WARNING: Never double lock your vehicle if there are people or animals in the vehicle.
NOTE: Double locking is not available in all markets.
The remote control has an emergency key. It can be used to unlock the vehicle in the event of a malfunction of the remote control or the vehicle battery. The left door handle has a recessed mechanical lock cylinder that can be unlocked with the emergency key. This operation does not disable the perimeter and interior alarms, which are triggered when the door is opened. To disable the alarm, insert the remote control into the slot on the start control module and press the start/stop button.
The remote control has a built-in lithium vanadium rechargeable battery. The battery is recharged when the remote control is inserted into the slot on the launch control module.
