Front exterior parking assistance sensor (Freelander 2)

NOTE: Removal of the rightmost front parking aid sensor requires removal of the front bumper fascia.

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported solely by a jack. Always support the vehicle securely.

2. Remove the front wheel. Refer to the procedure: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Installation

1. When installing, repeat the removal procedure in reverse order.

CAUTION: If a new sensor is installed, only the front surface needs to be painted. Failure to follow these instructions may result in component failure.
