CAUTION: If the side curtain airbags have deployed, the following system components must be replaced (the components on the side of the vehicle that was impacted must be replaced):
- Side curtain airbag modules
- Ceiling lining and all pillar trim
- Additional wire between airbag inflator and RCM wiring harness
- Curtain airbag mounting brackets
- Front seat belt pretensioners
- Any of the side impact sensors if there are signs of physical damage or if a malfunction has been registered
- RCM
In addition, it is necessary to check the condition of the following components and replace them if necessary:
- Mounting brackets
- Front seat belts - check the condition of the belt, inertia reels, buckle locks, attachment points to the body
- Rear seat belt anchorages - condition of belts, trim covers, buckle locks and body attachment points
- Associated decorative panels
- Shoulder belt adjusters
