Transfer case coupling seals (Freelander 2)

100-012 Slide Hammer	303-538 Remover/Installer, Crankshaft Oil Seal
307-594 Installer, Seal	308-615 Remover, Seals

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Ensure that the vehicle is supported securely.

2. Remove the transfer case. Refer to the procedure: Power Transfer Unit - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicle includes: 6-speed manual transmission with drive axle - M66 AWD (308-07B Transfer Case, Removal and Installation).

3. Special tool: 303-538, 308-615, 100-012

Make sure the area around the part is clean and free of foreign particles. Be especially careful not to damage the mating surfaces.

Installation

1. Special tool: 307-594

CAUTION: Be very careful not to damage the seal.

2. Install the transfer case. Refer to the procedure: Power Transfer Unit - 2.2L Duratorq - Td4, Vehicle includes: 6-speed manual transmission with drive axle - M66 AWD (308-07B Transfer Case, Removal and Installation).
