Dismantling


1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. Remove the top of the oil pan.

4. Loosen the oil pump sprocket mounting nut and remove the sprocket.

5. Unscrew 2 nuts and 1 bolt securing the oil pump and remove the oil pump.

6. Discard the oil pump and oil line O-rings.

Assembly


1. Wipe the mating surfaces of the oil pump and oil line, install new O-rings, lubricating them with clean engine oil.



2. Install the oil pump on the 2 oil lines and on the engine, screw on and tighten the 2 nuts securing the oil pump to the engine.

3. Place the chain on the oil pump sprocket and the sprocket with the chain on the oil pump.

4. Screw on and tighten the nut securing the sprocket to the oil pump.

5. Use the Allen key adjusting bolt to adjust the chain tension so that the deflection is between 8…

NOTE: The oil pump drive chain is adjusted by turning the Allen bolt, which is accessible through the hole for the oil pump mounting bolt.


6. Screw in and tighten the bolt securing the oil pump to the engine.

7. Install the upper part of the oil pan.
