Front door glass and window lift (Discovery 1)

1. Close the window completely, secure the window glass with adhesive tape to prevent the glass from falling.

2. Disconnect the battery.

3. Remove the door trim panel.

4. Remove the plastic seal.

5. Remove the window lift motor (if installed).



6. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the beet lifting mechanism and assemble the spring washers.

7. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the lower bar of the beet lifting mechanism and remove the bar from the stud.

8. Disconnect the height adjuster pin from the top bar of the light lifting mechanism, remove the mechanism from the door opening.



9. Remove the rearview mirror.

10. Remove the glass seal.

11. Unscrew one bolt (internal sprocket) fastening the front part of the window frame.



12. Unscrew the bolt securing the rear part of the window frame.

13. Unscrew the bolt securing the rearview mirror board through the hole in the inner door panel.

14. Loosen the screws securing the front and rear glass guides.

15. Remove the glass from the door together with the frame.

16. Remove the adhesive tape holding the glass in place.

17. Remove the glass from the frame.

18. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Note: Before tightening the window frame mounting bolts, make sure the frame is correctly installed in the door opening.
