1. Disconnect the battery.

1. Disconnect the battery.


2. Disconnect the transfer case shift lever boot from the center console.

3. Remove the lever handle and cover.

4. Disconnect the gearshift lever cover from the center console.

5. Remove the lever handle and cover.

6. Remove the rubber trim from the center console.

7. Remove the center console switch cover.

7. Remove the center console switch cover.


8. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the switch block.

9. Pull the switch block out of the console and disconnect the 7 wiring connectors.

Note: modifications with five switches are possible.


10. Remove the switch block.

Models with electric seat adjustment



11. Remove the seat control switches from the console.



12. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the switches.

13. Remove the switches.

13. Remove the switches.


All models



14. Disconnect the parking brake lever boot from the console.

14. Disconnect the parking brake lever boot from the console.


15. Remove the clip and pin securing the cable to the parking brake lever.

16. Remove the 4 screws securing the center console.

16. Remove the 4 screws securing the center console.


17. Lower the parking brake lever, pull the console back to provide access to the cigarette lighter and illumination lamp sockets.



18. Disconnect the cigarette lighter and headlight bulb connectors.

18. Disconnect the cigarette lighter and headlight bulb connectors.


19. Remove the center console.

20. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
