Dismantling


1. Remove the rear console.

INTERIOR TRIM DETAILS, REPAIR WORK, Rear console.


2. Remove the audio system.

ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS, REPAIR WORK, Radio receiver - models up to 04MY.


3. Remove the gear shift knob.

4. For vehicles with manual transmission only: Remove the hill start assist switch.

4. For vehicles with manual transmission only: Remove the hill start assist switch.


5. Remove the 3 handles from the heater control panel.

6. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the heater control panel.

7. Remove the heater control panel.

7. Remove the heater control panel.


8. Release the clips and remove the audio system mounting frame.

9. Remove 2 screws from the top of the console.

10. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the heater control unit to the center console.

11. Remove the 3 screws located in the center and on the sides of the console.

12. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the lamp base from the switch block.

13. For vehicles with automatic transmission only: Disconnect the electrical connectors from the automatic transmission selector lever.

14. Remove the center console.

15. Remove the 4 screws securing the switch panel and remove the panel assembly.

Installation


1. Install the switch panel assembly and tighten the screws that secure it.

2. Install the console on the control panel.

3. Connect the electrical connectors and lamp base to the switch box.

4. For vehicles with automatic transmission only: Connect the electrical connectors to the automatic transmission selector lever.

5. Reinstall the center console.

6. Replace and tighten the center and side console mounting screws.



7. Replace and tighten the screws securing the switch assembly to the console.

8. Replace and tighten the screws securing the top of the console.

9. Replace the audio system mounting frame and secure it to the console with the clips.

10. Replace the heater control panel and secure it with screws.

11. Install the handles on the heater control panel.

12. For vehicles with manual transmission only: Set the hill descent control switch.

13. Install the gear shift lever handle.

14. Install the audio system.

ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS, REPAIR WORK, Radio receiver - models up to 04MY.


15. Reinstall the rear console.
