Dismantling


1. Remove the instrument panel.

2. Remove the audio system, which includes the radio and CD player.

3. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the heater control unit to the center console.

5. Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors from the windshield wiper/turn signal switch.

6. Loosen the bolt and remove the windshield wiper/turn signal switch.



7. Unscrew the 2 screws securing the lower steering column cover and remove the cover.

8. Lower the driver's glove box lid and remove the fuse box cover.

9. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the fuse box.

10. Close the glove compartment.

11. Remove the watch.

12. Remove the hazard warning light switch.

13. Remove the upper trim panels from both front 'A' pillars.

14. Remove the passenger airbag.

15. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors from the control panel cable.

16. Unscrew the 14 control panel mounting bolts.

17. With the help of a partner, remove the control panel.

18. Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors from the switch panel.



19. Remove 4 screws from the switch panel support bracket.

20. Remove the outside rearview mirror adjustment button from the control panel, disconnect the electrical connector from the button and remove it.

21. Remove the glove box liner and unscrew the 4 screws securing the inner panel.

22. Remove the inner glove box panel and remove the lamp assembly.

23. Remove the passenger glove box inner panel assembly.

24. Remove the glove box lid hinge pins and remove the lid.



25. Remove the cruise control system switches as an assembly from the control panel.

FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM OF GASOLINE ENGINE, ADJUSTMENTS, Resume switch (activation/deactivation of the mode): since May 2004.


26. Carefully release the 4 ventilation system deflectors from the control panel and remove them.

27. Loosen the 2 screws securing the driver's glove box latch and remove the latch.

28. Remove the control panel electrical cable, having first remembered its location.

Installation


1. Install and secure the control panel electrical cable.

2. Install the glove box latch, secure it with screws and adjust its position if necessary.

3. Install the passenger glove box assembly.

4. Install the deflector on the control panel.



5. Install the cruise control switch assembly to the control panel.

FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM OF GASOLINE ENGINE, ADJUSTMENTS, Resume switch (activation/deactivation of the mode): since May 2004.


6. Install the glove box lid and its hinge pins.

7. Connect the electrical connector to the outside rearview mirror adjustment switch and install the switch assembly to the control panel.

8. Install the switches on the control panel and connect the electrical connectors.

9. With the help of a partner, install the control panel in the car and tighten its mounting bolts to a torque of 10 Nm.

10. Connect the electrical connectors of the control panel cables to the main electrical wiring.

11. Install the driver's airbag.

12. Install the front 'A' pillar upper trim panels.

14. Set the clock.

15. Open the driver's glove compartment.

16. Install the audio system.

17. Replace the fuse box cover and close the glove box lid.

18. Install the lower steering column cover and secure it with screws.

19. Install the windshield wiper/turn signal switch and tighten the screw.

20. Connect the electrical connectors to the windshield wiper/turn signal switch.



21. Install the rotary contactor.

22. Install the heater control panel onto the control panel and secure it with screws.

23. Install the instrument panel.
