Removal
1. Drain the engine oil.
2. Install the drain plug and tighten it to 40 Nm.
3. If there is an oil level sensor installed on the pan, disconnect its connector.
4. Unscrew the bolt securing the oil dipstick tube to the valve cover.
5. From the center to the periphery, unscrew the 17 pan mounting bolts. Remove the tray.
6. Remove any remaining sealant from all mating surfaces.
7. Degrease the mating surfaces.
Installation
8. Apply Hylosil White RTV sealant to the tray flange.
9. Install the oil pan on the engine and tighten the mounting bolts by hand.

10. In several passes, in the sequence shown in the figure, tighten the pan mounting bolts to a torque of 18 N·m.
11. Secure the dipstick tube.
12. Connect the oil level sensor connector.
