When replacing the belt, pay attention to the direction of rotation of the water pump / fan clutch, rotation should be counterclockwise.

Removal
1. Remove the top part of the fan diffuser.
2. Turn the automatic tensioner clockwise to release the belt tension.
3. Remove the belt from the generator pulley.
4. Release the tensioner.
5. Remove the belt. If you plan to reinstall the old belt, mark its direction of rotation with chalk.

Installation
6. Inspect the unit pulleys and clean their grooves.
7. Place the belt on all pulleys except the generator, see the drawings with routing routes.
8. Turn the tensioner clockwise.
9. Place the belt on the generator pulley.
10. Release the tensioner, tighten the belt.
11. Check that the belt is correctly installed along the pulley grooves.
12. Install the upper part of the fan diffuser.
Checking the tension
Although the belt tensions automatically, check the tension as described below.
1. Visually assess the belt tension.
2. Start the engine: if the tensioner moves (amplitude of oscillations) no more than 5 mm - everything is normal. If the movement exceeds 12 mm, replace the tensioner.
3. When moving the tensioner 5-12 mm: check that there is no contact between the tensioner spring and the housing. If there is contact, replace the tensioner.
4. Using a belt tension gauge, measure the belt tension force. Perform the check several times after stopping the engine. The amount of tension must remain constant.
- With air conditioning - 295 N.
- Without air conditioning - 270 N.
