Checking the end pressure (compression) (Discovery 1)

1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.

2. Remove all spark plugs.

3. Disconnect the negative wires (WB terminal) from the ignition coils.

4. Install the compression gauge in place of the spark plug.

5. Crank the engine with the starter (the throttle is fully open, the battery is charged): compression pressure:

• at a compression ratio of 8.35 10.2 -10.9 bar
• at a compression ratio of 9.35 11.5 -12.2 bar
