2. Disconnect the fuel vapor accumulator ventilation hose from the resonance chamber.
3. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the valve cover.
4. Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the intake manifold.
5. Remove the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs and release the wires from the clips.
6. Loosen the four cover mounting bolts, move the fuel hoses aside and remove the cover.
7. Discard the lid gasket.
8. Remove the high-voltage wire clip and install it on the new cover.
9. Use Bostik 6001 cleaner to clean the mating surfaces of the head and valve cover.
Note: The valve cover gasket is installed only once, moving the gasket will cause it to fail.
10. Apply Bostik 1775 adhesive to the valve cover flange (use a brush). The glue layer must be uniform. Wait for the glue to dry before installing the gasket.
11. Insert one end of the gasket into the lid protrusion, close to the wall of the protrusion. Do not allow the rest of the gasket to come into contact with the adhesive coating. Place the gasket gradually over the entire lid, pressing it firmly.
12. Leave the gasket in the lid for 30 minutes.
13. Install the cover on the cylinder head, tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 9 N·m.
14. Reinstall the removed parts.
