Flywheel — removal and installation (Discovery 1)

Removal

1. Remove the gearbox and clutch.

2. Loosen the starter mounting bolts.

3. Lock the flywheel from turning, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the flywheel.

Installation

4. Clean the mating surfaces of the flywheel and crankshaft.

5. Install the flywheel.

6. Clean the threads of the mounting bolts and apply Loctite 270 locking adhesive to the threads.

7. Tighten the bolts to 80 Nm.
