Removal



1. Remove the front cover.

2. Loosen the crankshaft sprocket mounting bolt, remove the distributor drive gear and spacer.

1 - bearing, 2 - crankshaft, 3 - key, 4 - sprocket, 5 - spacer, 6 - distributor drive gear.

3. Make sure that the piston of the first cylinder is at TDC.

4. Remove the crankshaft and camshaft sprockets and the chain together.

Installation



5. Wash the chain and both sprockets.

6. Place the chain on the sprockets, aligning the alignment marks.

7. Check that the keys on the crankshaft and camshaft are installed correctly.

8. Place the sprockets together with the chain on the shafts using the keys (the camshaft key must be parallel to the crankshaft key). Make sure the sprockets are fully seated.

9. Using a metal ruler, check that the alignment marks are in line.

10. Install the spacer with the flange forward.

11. Install the distributor drive gear with the groove towards the spacer.

12. Install the sprocket mounting bolt and washer, tighten to 58 N·m.

13. Install the front cover.
